The mission of the Harrisons Bay Association is to preserve and protect Harrison Bay and its surroundings, to enhance the water quality, fishery, boating safety, and aesthetic values of Harrison Bay for today and for future generations and to provide the opportunity for fellowship among Association members.
There are resources available to us as residents and lovers of Harrisons Bay if we advocate for them. That is why we are looking at creating an association for the bay and recruiting volunteers to assist in the effort.
It's not just about weeds. What other concerns do you and your neighbors have? How can we come together as a community to address these issues?
Harrisons Bay is a valuable recreation resource to:
- 176 Lakeshore Owners,
- 100 Mound Dock program non-abutting participants,
- 19 Deeded Access Lots,
- beach goers
- lovers of Lake Minnetonka.
Harrisons Bays weeds have been out of control and algae is abundant. How can we work together to improve the water quality of our lake?
The Lake Minnetonka Association has had success controlling Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) of weeds through the Bay Treatment Program. Our goal is to team up with LMA to raise money to treat our weeds in 2022.
